If I were DPR, I would put a notice under the address field of the shopping cart. maybe it would look something like this:
ATTENTION: If you finalize early or pay your seller directly, you do so at your OWN risk
Not that I don't feel bad for the people who lost out, I really DO hurt for you, especially the one or two who I pointed in tony's direction. Like nomad said, the cool kids aren't finalizing early!

One of my friends once gave a street dealer his money. The dealer then said "Hold on, I'll be right back. I need to go see if your money is real."
He came back to the car, told us what happened, and now will never live it down.
Needless to say my friend would probably finalize early every time.

I'll finalize early for people that I trust. Sometimes I feel like they shouldn't need to wait a week to cash out, especially if they've been good to me in the past.
Sometimes people you trust let you down. Life goes on.

On the subject, Mitanox and Reich are the gods of SR we should be looking up to. They actually ask that buyers DONT finalize early.

Dude, no offense but that's the whole problem. If buyers constantly fold into the BULLSHIT that is FE then there is no fucking chance that we can finally KILL forced FE. I took my loss my first bad order, but I moved on and by that time earned good enough stats to get escrow from Tony, which to me confuses this whole situation more...
Anyway, I've had much more positive than negative thanks to Silk Road. Even after all of this, I still am thankful for the fun times it has allowed me this far. Think I'm going to take a good break from all this shit and let all the negativity work itself out. Shit actually made me feel disgusted reading. It's weird watching anarchy turn in on itself. Like a great Acid Spiral.
Glad I mostly stayed out of this mental holocaust. $180? I'll live. Going to read the Great Liberation Through Hearing and focus on what's important in life, MYSELF! lol 8)

reich is great to work with. quality product, ships fast. i haven't hit mitanox up yet, but continue to see good reviews. maybe i'll go take a look at their listings.

escrow is in place for this exact reason.

there is no such thing as a trusted seller. we're dealing with fucking drugs here. i lol when i see people FE due to trusted seller. lol like your dealer is your friend. when money is involved trust no one.

If a seller says that you must FE.. YOU USE ANOTHER SELLER
That is the whole premise of a free market.
There are plenty (most) sellers that will let you stay in escrow. If you trust your vendor, then by all means FE, but its your own risk.

yeah and i haven't made anyone finalize early as long as its in escrow im fine with it.

Buyers aren't forced to buy. If a vendor asks you to FE, simply do not buy for them.

I have never and I will never ask anyone to FE. Even new buyers with no transactions. I agree with OP... Dont Do It!!!
